The SHS was created in 1976 to answer the need for training of health workers for the country’s remote and underserved locations. Following the success of the SHS in Palo, Leyte, UP instituted an extension campus of the SHS in Baler, Aurora in Luzon in 2008. It is currently working on the establishment of another extension campus in Mindanao targeting the area of South Central Mindanao.  | |||||||||||||||||
